Diego de Aragão

Diego de Aragão is a distinguished Data, Analytics and AI executive with more than 15 years of experience leading large-scale transformation across financial services. As a Senior Vice President at Citi, he leads the development of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI-enabled capabilities supporting strategic decisions across the firm’s approximately $2.6 trillion balance sheet. His work spans balance sheet optimization, financial forecasting, capital and liquidity management, executive decision support and enterprise data strategy, translating complex data into measurable business value. He has also helped advance the adoption of generative AI, natural-language analytics, optimization models and governed AI solutions within highly regulated finance environments.
Before joining Citi, Diego held leadership positions at American Express across Global Treasury and Commercial Products, combining deep financial expertise with technology, analytics and product innovation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s degrees in Economics, Finance and Analytics—including an M.S. in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology—and an MBA from IESE Business School.
